SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

~SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION~

The maximum amount of each scholarship is up to $2,500 per person.

​

~Must be a CURRENT resident of the Anchorage Municipality or Matanuska-Susitna Borough with proof of residency required. See application below for more details.

​

~Applicants may be any woman seeking additional education from:

​

1. Accredited Institutions

Needs a Letter of Acceptance from intended accredited institution/enrollment in course of study which leads to a degree or certificate.

A scholarship for education with an accredited institution will be paid directly to the institution on behalf of the student.

OR

​

2. Vocational or Other Training

This Scholarship may be applied toward courses, education and training. Other forms of training/education outside of traditional vocations schools will be considered (ex. classes, workshops, educational retreats, etc.)

Scholarships will not be awarded for costs and expenses associated with travel for the educational opportunity. 

If selected as a recipient of a vocational training scholarship, scholarship award to be reimbursed directly to the individual upon proof of payment of training.

Your application MUST INCLUDE:

 

-COMPLETED and  SIGNED  application form

-SIGNED Personal Statement of 2 pages or less.

-Two current letters of recommendation that include sender's signature and date. 

-Letter of acceptance from accredited institution or program if applicable.

 

 The Awarded Scholarship must be utilized by December 31st of the awarded calendar year,

receipts for reimbursements must be received by December 1st of awarded calendar year. 

 

Scholarships shall be awarded without regard to race, national origin, age, or religious affiliation.
