-When detected early, the 5-year survival rate for melanoma is 99 percent.

Katie is a born and raised Alaskan, who grew up in the Chugiak and Eagle River area. Katie has 3 children, She enjoys time with her family, the outdoors, and traveling. Katie has always loved making people feel confidant and healthy in their own skin. This has led her to seek careers where she can make a difference in peoples lives. Katie is a licensed yoga instructor, certified group fitness instructor, and personal trainer. Most recently she became licensed as an esthetician. She currently owns River Beauty Esthetics located in the Vibe Styling Salon in Eagle River. She specializes in skin care, waxing, and lash services. Our monthly luncheon is on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Eagle River at select locations. Networking is from 11:30 – 12:00 with speaker beginning at noon.
